Etsy Find!

For the longest time I have been looking for a cute sugar and creme set. I finally have found one via Etsy at a little shop called Vintage Unlimited. This one just caught my eye, not only are the colors of coral, blue and gold fabulous but this vintage set was also made in Japan! And in my opinion its nice to mix in a little bit of vintage in your home. I also posted a couple other photos of ones I was considering. Happy Friday!

(this is the set I bought!)

this one was really cute with the asian key pattern and
cherry blossom chinoiserie design.

I loved the silver floral overlay on these! so elegant!

Today I made a couple purchases for some bedding for our little family! I finally bit the bullet and bought some oober luxurious bedding. First, I ordered a eco-friendly, stylish and super supportive dog bed for my little furry sweetie, Rigby from Kiss My Mutt based out of Santa Barbara... This bed is the perfect soft creamy grey that I had been looking for, and as a bonus they are easily removable/ washable and the fill is made from recycled plastic bottles! Isn't that amazing?!? You can find these beds featured in "Dog Fancy Magazine" & on Etsy. Now, for the humans of the household, I purchased a couple of shams from the lovely Garnet Hill. I selected the fiesta percale collection in white with a beautiful cursive scroll monogram in a sophisticated silver thread. Can't wait until they arrive!

my weekend

I am going to be with my husband this weekend in beautiful santa barbara. see ya next week!

Abstract Art

I adore abstract art... In fact you could say I am a bit obsessed! There is something about abstract art that really speaks to me... Its a feeling of pure freedom of expression. I love that about art; it stirs emotions from deep within our being. I've pulled a couple of images to share with you today, and I've gotta say how inspired I am to break out a canvas and a paint brush and get creating! Happy friday!

i love the burnt orange, coral and pink in this piece!

this vignette is so pretty! and you cannot go wrong with
a statement piece of art in classic black & white.

the audrey bed

I am so excited to share this post with you all today! I designed a custom bed for one of my favorite clients ever, and this is how it turned out! I am really very proud of my work! You know how it is, you have an idea in your head, and the idea really gets you going, but nothing, nothing is as fulfilling as seeing the finished product! Voila! The "Audrey" bed, named after yours truly. Check it out at Davenport Home.

(Shown: Faux-Velvet in Blue Haze with Silver Nailhead Trim, Ebony Finish & Button Tufting)

I am having a few pillows made for a client project I am working on, and I just selected this gorgeous fabric called Ansonia Fleur in Orchid by Robert Allen. This image really doesn't do it justice, it looks creamy yellow when its actually a clean ivory color. I'll post pictures when they are completed!

Hello lovelies! Can you believe its mid week already!?! And its the 1st day of Fall! Yipee! I have already had a very hectic week and I have been sheepishly dreaming of the jetsetter sweepstakes through Kate Spade! I have been entering literally everyday... just wishfully thinking and dreaming of a sweet vacation to Lake Como, Italy! You should enter or check it out if you haven't done so already!

oh happy day!

it has been a busy week for me! Today is like my Friday... So I am looking forward to a bit of leisurely time and also to do a bit of "catch-up" with all these items on my to-do list! see you next week!

a bit like fall

I love this time of year, the time Fall starts creeping slowly into our day. a bit colder a bit darker, and time seems to slow down... Today feels a bit like Fall, its chilly, dark-grey clouds, and I am sitting here at my desk with a soy chai latte, and a sweet scented Archipelago candle and I am so inspired to write about fall findings and inspiration: back to school, apple pie, sweaters, and cozy blankets. Enjoy today!

1. A cozy thick sweater is a must have! I adore this Kate Spade style.
2. Candles always set the mood! I'm curious about this "Eggnog" Illume Candle for the fall.
3. Add a bit of Leopard to your wardrobe! I think these pumps from Nordstrom are amazing! Gotta go get em!
4. This fall I am determined to try out apple picking! It looks like such fun, don't you think?!?
5. Give THANKS! A recycled letterpress stationary set from Sugar Paper would be a delight!
6. This time of the year I cannot get enough of Starbucks Hot Apple Cider or their Pumpkin Latte! Yum!
7. If I could, I would have several different Cococozy throws! So luxe! Cuddling up with one of these would be heavenly!

hey all! i miss blogging! I've been very busy with work, schedules, life! I promise I have some goodies up my sleeve to blog about! be back as soon as possible! ciao
