I am so ready for 2012! I have the best feeling about this year, and I am so excited to see my goals and dreams unfold for this new year! Cheers!!! Be back next year!
There is still plenty of time to get your presents wrapped in style! I have already finished all of mine: I used shipping paper I bought from the post office, and LOTS of pretty satin ribbons in red, pink and turquoise! Here are some other photos that offer great ideas, and i think are definitely worth trying!
create an "obi- belt" out of pretty paper & top it off with tinsel and ribbon!

I was very inspired by cutting out letters to place ontop of presents I'm handing out this year. They dress up your gift and how doesn't like a bit of personalization?

Our Holiday/ New Year cards are finally made and soon to be mailed! We had a fabulous time with our photo shoot with local Santa Barbara photographer Eileen Cicutti. She was so sweet and as you can see incredibly talented! I am thrilled how she captured the warm streaming sunlight, and made my husband and I instantly comfortable with the whole experience, and isn't my little Rigby such a photogenic pup?!?
I couldn't resist sharing some beautiful pictures of this exquisite home featured in elle decor with you all today. Read the very informative article here. I just adore the shades of blue and grey, the elegant timeless pieces, gold accents and the breathtaking space of simplicity. enjoy...
Happy monday everyone! Can you believe christmas is only 2 weeks away!? Today is a very cold and rainy day here in Santa Barbara, but I am loving it! So for today, I am sharing a few photos I snapped of our very cute and smallish christmas tree! By the way this is the first REAL tree I've had in years! I am intoxicated by the fresh scent of pine! oh the holidays... cheers!
Just received my very own copy of this amazing book: Black & White (and a bit in between)! I devoured over each page; the gorgeous photography, and the creative layout design. In this book there are different chapters for different topics, spaces & rooms! I actually learned some clever bits of information myself. Celerie Kemble is such an inspiration to me, and she pulled together some of the best designers and decorators out there to compose such a great piece. This would make an amazing holiday gift!
such a fabulous coffee table/ display book!

I found at a home consignment shop, sitting by itself on a dining table amongst so much visual clutter of furniture. It was a diamond in the rough. I scored this gorgeous Frederic Cooper lamp on sale for only $70! I don't think anyone had any idea what they were sitting on with this beautiful piece! The only thing I wish was that there was another for sale to make it a pair! But no matter, I am the happy and grateful owner, I had to have it! I sometimes just gawk at the gorgeous detail work incased by ribbons of gold, pink, turquoise, lilac and navy blue. ALL of my favorite colors! Isn't it fabulous? Tell me, what are some of your recent consignment, or second hand finds and treasures??!
aren't the little feet such a great detail? and what about the brass-gold trim?
a bit more detail work
I was so delighted to look in my mailbox this morning to find these gorgeous tablescapes by Serena & Lily! Isn't everything they do fabulous? They just announced 2 new lines to their entertaining section on their website, Mombasa and Marbella with tons of beautiful table linens, candle holders, centerpieces and more. I love how they designed these table tops, layering in color, texture, pattern and light. I hope you all have found a bit of inspiration today like I have. Happy Friday!
the holidays are upon us! and I am always so delighted this time of year to give gifts, I especially love finding the most personalized gift to the recipient, so I have lots of gift ideas up my sleeve! however today, as tradition I make a little list of the items on my wish list! remember last years post?!? I also think a lot of these items on my own list may give you a bit of inspiration for your own gifting this holiday season. whats on yours? would love to hear! and as a hint, we may have a giveaway coming up soon! tis the season!
Hello lovelies! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!?! Mine was spent with family and finally painting the walls of our living room in our new apartment! The walls were really dark and depressing, so we painted them a fresh white and now I am much happier! Pictures are soon to come! So back to monday and I am working on a bit of a inspirational mood board for my little bathroom makeover. So far I have added a white standing cabinet in the corner for extra storage, and now I am on to the pretty (yet functional) items! I hope you like, and let me know your thoughts or any projects you are working on for your abode. Cheers to a great week!

This part of the year really is one of my favorites and I am always looking for different ways to get into the festivities! This year my eye is on striped & polka dotted wrapping paper! There is something nostalgic about them to me, yet very sophisticated & charming as well! Here are a few that I have found that will definitely make gift giving this year extra special!
found this cute packaged gift via little paper dog. apparently she got this
wrapping paper at Dollar Tree! What a deal!
this fun red & white striped paper is over at ikea!
( I was there the other week checking out their Holiday tent and had to buy some!)
just grab some ribbon layer them on top of the other
and wrap the ribbon around your gift. fun!
