Artful Words

Rockett St. George, is an online store, that never fails for unique finds. I absolutely fell in love with these antique wooden wall signs... fit for a true romantic, or for anyone that appreciates how words themselves are art. I would love to give one of these to my husband as a gift... Which one is your favorite?

Random Fun Friday

Ready for the weekend!?! Thank goodness its Friday... And to send us out into the weekend I wanted to share a few thoughts.

Has anyone seen the movie "Julie & Julia"? The new oh-so inspiring movie with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams!!! (I just loooove those actresses). If you haven't it may just be something to add to your weekend to-do list. I saw it yesterday afternoon. I found loads of inspiration, happiness, and laughter throughout the entire movie, not to mention walked out of the theatre craving gourmet french food; to add to that, I found myself relating to the character, Julie, a married woman, looking for inspiration through Julia Child, played by Amy Adams. Isn't it nice when you can actually relate to a movie, or shall I say at least part of it? I may not be inspired by Julia Child, but I do find inspiration in the everyday, and the people closest to me. Who are you inspired by? What motivates you to do something wonderful for yourself everyday?

Here is another random note.... YARD SALES!

Who doesn't enjoy a great yard sale, where another gal or guys junk is another's treasure? I sure do, and I am on the hunt to find some chairs to give a little TLC and set them up in the living room. I stumbled across this search tool called "Yard Sale Treasure Map". All you need to do is enter your city and the handy new site will show you yard sales in the area. And it even maps out a route so you can hit 'em all, and it won't even cost you a nickel.

Enjoy and have a fantastic, inspired weekend! Happy Random Fun Friday.

I am going on Vacation...

An imaginary one that is! I wanted to scope around and share one of hundreds of hotel designs that I love. The Viceroy Hotel located in Miami Florida, was interior designed by Kelly Wearstler and her team at KWID. The Viceroy is an upscale, luxury hotel that screams nothing less than hot! Enjoy my little mini mental vay-kay.

Creative Ways to Add Visual Interest in the Kitchen

The Kitchen is often referred to as the heart of the home, and by any means oftentimes the busiest and most used area; all the more reason to add visual interest through organization, color, texture, layers and display, all contributing to the functionality of the kitchen. So instead of hiding your pretty and colorful dishes and cookware display them!

I love the simple splashes of green in the kitchen, its so clean and refreshing!
